Permission to start M.Com. (Banking and Finance) was granted by the University of Mumbai to the College. The Course started in full swing with 100% admissions i.e., 60 students in a batch.
College enrolled 1781 students for all Un-aided Courses, in 33 divisions, guided by 25 full time faculties and 22 visiting faculties, covering 123 subjects.
‘Chrysalis’, the Event Management Training Programme for Management students of our College, became a mega event as 65 Colleges participated in 41 events, which was managed successfully under the Chairmanship of Asst. Prof. (Mrs.) Namrataa Srivastav, all other teaching staff and 250 student Volunteers on 27th and 28th January 2012.
Various guest lectures were organised for different Third Year Courses for both the Semester Examinations.
Industrial visits were organised for all F.Y., S.Y. and T.Y. Classes at Mumbai and Pune.
Asst. Prof. (Mrs.) Mugdha Keskar qualified NET Examination and Asst. Prof. Gajendra Deoda and Asst. Prof. (Ms.) Deepti Kamble qualified SET.
Asst. Prof. R. V. Nhavkar participated in Avishkar, Research Convention of University of Mumbai and qualified for Inter-University Research Convention.
Asst. Prof. (Mrs.) Shaila Shrivastav presented papers at National/State Level Seminars/Conferences at various Colleges.
Asst. Prof. (Mrs.) Sangita Das registered for Ph.D. in Sociology in the Department of Sociology, University of Mumbai. She completed M.B.A. (HRM) from Annamalai University. She presented a Paper titled, ‘Challenges Faced by Working Women and its Impact on Family: A Case Study on Primary Teachers of Thane City’ in National Seminar organised by Pragati College of Arts and Commerce. She also presented a paper on ‘Health Implication of Domestic Violence’ in National Seminar organised by Ramniranjan Jhunjhunwala College.
Asst. Prof. Shraddha Bhome authored ‘CRM in Banking and Insurance’, ‘Financial Services Management’, ‘Innovations in Banking and Insurance’ and ‘Environment of Financial System’ for S.Y.B./I. (Sem - III), T.Y.B./I. (Sem - V), S.Y.B./I. (Sem - IV) and F.Y.F.M. (Sem - II) respectively. She is selected on the Editorial Board of ‘International Journal of Modern Management’ by International Book House Publication. Her Research Article titled, ‘Banking in Every Pocket’ was published in Refereed Journal Bank Quest by IIBF.
Asst. Prof. (Mrs.) Mrunmayee Thatte qualified NET Examination. She presented a Paper titled, ‘Globalisation and its Impact on Health’ in National Seminar on ‘Impact of Globalisation on Various Sectors in Present and Future Scenario’ organised by K.B. College of Arts and Commerce for Women, Thane. She also presented a Paper titled ‘Status of Woman- Is She ‘Living’ or ‘Existing’?’ in National Seminar organised by Lala Lajpatrai College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai. She authored three Books titled ‘CRM in Financial Services’, ‘Human Resource Management’ and ‘Financial Accounting’ for T.Y.F.M., and T.Y.B./I. respectively.
Asst. Prof. (Mrs.) Nomita Kolnoorkar presented two papers on ‘Relevance of Grammar to the Acquisition of English language’ and ‘Literature – A Journey to Language Skills' in National Conference at Rajarshi Shahu Mahavidyalay, Latur.
Asst. Prof. (Ms.) Neelam Shaikh qualified NET Examination with JRF. She presented a paper titled ‘Universal Accounting Standard: IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standard)’ in One-day State level Seminar on ‘Accounting Standard – Perspective’ organised by ‘Shri. Kasibhai Navale College Endrawane, Pune. She also presented a paper titled ‘Prosperity of E-Business and Ethical Legal Issues in E- Business in India’ in National Seminar at Birla College of Arts, Commerce and Science, Kalyan.
Prof. (Mrs.) Suchita Joshi from Unaided Section completed Diploma in Cyber Law. She presented a Paper titled ‘Status of Woman- Is She ‘Living’ or ‘Existing’?’ in National Seminar organised by Lala Lajpatrai College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai.
Asst. Prof. (Ms.) Jharna Tolani presented a Paper titled ‘Potential of SMEs in Economic Growth’ at State – level Seminar in Adarsh College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Badlapur. She also presented a Paper titled ‘Use of E-Commerce in Widening Market’ in National Seminar at Birla College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Kalyan.
Asst. Prof. (Mrs.) Sandhya Thakkar presented a Paper titled ‘E- Commerce Prospects in India’ in National Seminar at Birla College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Kalyan.
Prof. Ravindra Phadke completed MBA from IIBM, Delhi.
Our students participated in National Level Programme at N. M. College and bagged 1st prize.
- Mr. Pratik Kulkarni of T.Y.A/F. received the Best Student (2011-12) Rolling Trophy Award.
- Mr. Swapnil Ghangale of T.Y.B.M.M. - English was honoured as the Best Student of the Year 2011-2012.
- (Ms.) Sonam Panchal of T.Y.B.M.S. was awarded Best Performance (Students’ Council).
- (Ms.) Namrata Prajapati of T.Y.B./I. and Prachi Godse of T.Y.F.M. bagged Best Student Award – Unaided Section.
- Mr. Chirag Thakkar of T.Y.B.M.M. bagged the Best Student of Theatre Award.
- Mr. Ajinkya Taralkar of T.Y. B.M.M. bagged Best Student of Creative Arts Award and
- (Ms.) Kshitija Joshi of T.Y.B.M.M. got the Best Student of Music Award.
- Mr. Parikshit More of T.Y.A./F.was awarded Best N.S.S. Volunteer of the year.
