Activities (year 2012-13):

The English Literary Association's inaugral function was held on 21st August, 2012. Dr. Sachin Labade from the University of mumbai, was invited as Chief Guest who delivered an insightful speechon the topic "English Language in the Globalised Era". On this occasion, Fragrance, the literary wallpaper was released in the book form by the hands of the chief guest. Teachers' Day was also celebrated by the department in a formal manner. Text-based paper presentations were given by our TYBA students on 29th September, 2012. A Parents' Meeting of TYBA students was organised on 8th December. The parents expressed happiness over the entire functioning of the English Department. Prof. Subhash Shinde, VP, was also present and interacted with the parents.
The preliminary examination for TYBA students were conducted throughout the year. A guest lecture by Dr. Bijoy Samal, Head of English, Kirti College for TYBA students was organised on the 18th February, 2013. The department also proudly introduced the UGC sponsered Add-on course o Conversational English from the academic year 2012-13.
