Activities (year 2014-15):

The department of English inaugrated their activities for academic year 2014-15 with the screening of 'Pride and Prejudice', a classic , on 27th June, 2014, which was followed by a lively discussion on the feminist and post-colonial aspects of the film. In August the department had organised an inter - collegiate paper presentation competition (syllabus based )on the theme, "Indian English Literature and Indian Writing in Translation". A Parents'-Teachers' meet was conducted on 24th of January, 2015 and it received a satisfactory response. On 26th January Prof. Madhavi Arekar and Prof. Kranti Doibale accompanied the TYBA Students to view a historical biopic 'The Imitation Game', based on the life of Alan Turing, a british mathematician during the Second World War. Prof. Praful Bhosale completed his refresher course in November- December 2014.
