July
- Documentary screening ‘Kacharakundi’ titled for TYBA Geography students 10th july,2012 prof AparnaPhadke, followed by the discussion on the documentary
- Parent-teacher meeting on 14th july,2012:Parents of TYBA Geography students were invited and detailed information about the various activities of the dept
- Field trip to Yeor forest , Thane TYBA students 28th July,2012
August
- Students of FYBCom gave the power point presentations of their projects at Katayan on 6th August,2012.
- Documentary screeningon ‘Secrets of desert’ for TYBA Geography students
- 14 August 2012 Field trip for SYBA students to ChatrapatiShivaji Museum and South Mumbai
- 17th August,2012 Field trip for FYBA Students to Nehru Science Centre, Worli,Mumbai
- One pre conference workshop for students 23 August,2012. Nearly 10 collage participants from various collages participated. Judges Prof.Rashmi Desai and Dr.DipeshKarmarkar selected 4 best research papers to be presented at the main conference in January,2013.
September
- Workshop for School and Junior college teachers 15 September 2012. In all, 92 school teachers and junior college teachers from Thane, Mumbai participated. The title of the workshop was “Innovative practices in Geography teaching and learning”and guided by Prof V G Amrite, Dr HemantPednekar Prof AparnaPhadke guided on how to teach Geography and how to prepare Research papers.
October
- Six students from TYBA Geography were selected after 2 rounds of interview by the IATA recognised course by the Tradewings institute.
November
- Pre-conference workshop for teachers on 29th November,2012 was organised. In all 10 research papers were presented out of which 3 were selected by the Judges Prof(Dr).V S Phadke, former head of the Department of Geography, University of Mumbai and Dr.VivekPatkar, independent researcher and urban planner, MMRDA.
December
- Parent-teacher meeting Dec4th,2012.Parents of the TYBA Geography students were invited to discuss the problems such as low attendance, low concentration on studies etc.
- Intercollegiate exhibition competition 8th December,2012: organised in line with the various activities in accordance with National level conference. Nearly15 colleges are likely to participate with working models, charts and other exhibits.
- A documentary film screening ‘Narmada BachaoAndolan’ for FYBCOM ‘E’ on 11-12-2012 & FYBCOM on 13-12-2012
January
- A National Level Conference is arranged on 11th and 12th, 2013. In all 24 research papers will be presented not only from other states of India but also from other countries like USA, Mexico and UK.
- A field trip of TYBA students has been proposed on 24th January, 2013 to Lonavala and Pune
- Third week of January, internal submissions and class tests would be conducted.
February
- Documentary film screening is arranged for TYBA titled as ‘Planet Earth’
- First Preliminary exam of TYBA of practical papers
March
- Second Preliminary exam of TYBA of practical and theory papers
