Activities

2015-2016

Following activities were conducted for the year (2015-16)

• Department of History and Department of Politics Jointly celebrated Shahu Maharaj Jayanti on 26th June 2015. Students of TYBA, SYBA and FYBA participated in this programme. Jr. College Vice Principal Mrs.Gauri Tirmare was invited as Chief Guest.
• A workshop on Soft Skill Interview Techniques and presentation Skills was organised on 24th July 2015.Prof Madhavi Arekar , Dept of English was invited as a guest speaker.
• A power Point Presentation on “Forts of Maharashtra” was done by Ankur Rane  ex-student and an independent researcher in field of Archaeology on 1st Aug 2015 and on 23rd Aug 2015 for TYBA, SYBA and FYBA.
• A power point presentation was organised on” Caves of Maharashtra” on 24th Aug, 2015 for TYBA.
•  Prof Subhash Shinde organised a lecture of Shri Jayant konvilar on North East India on 27th Jan 2016.
• Dr(Mrs )Indrani Roy completed UGC sanctioned minor research on “Archaeological Heritages of Thane city” in  month of May.2015  
• Dr.(Mrs.) Indrani Roy presented a paper in National level seminar on “History of Thane: An Overview” organised by Ananda Gurukul College , in collaboration of Konkan Itihas Parishad on 17th Jan.2016.
•  A study tour of TYBA students was organised on 25th Jan.2016   to Pune. Students visited Shaniwar wada,the palace of Peshwa rulers,Lal Mahal, Kelkar Museum and Aga Khan Palace.
