3. Namibia’s cabinet approves Bill on IPR.

Namibia’s cabinet has approved the industrial property Bill,which provides for the registration and protection of Patents,utility model certificates,industrial designs and trademarks and for other related matters.

The Bill also seeks to make Namibia compatible with WIPO treaties,conventions &protocols that Namibia has signed and others the country wishes to accede to in future.

The agreements had the potential to generate investments,especially in science & technology sevices and information and communication technology.
