Mostratec 2017
On the invitation of Fundacao Liberato, students from different institutions managed by the Vidya Prasarak Mandal, Thane have been participating in Mostratec held in October every year at Novo Hamburgo, Rio the Grande Sul, Brazil. Mostratec is a contest in science and technology for post school students arranged every year by Fundacao Liberato. Apart from Brazil students from more than 25 countries participate in this contest. A team would be sent Mostratec 2019.
Belt and Road Innovation Camp
China Association of Science and Technology (CAST) has recently come out with a novel activity named Belt and Roads Innovation Camp. It is the programme planned to encourage innovativeness among school going students. Apart from host country it is made available to countries neighbouring to China. CAST has sent invitation for the maiden event of Belt and Road camp held in Beijing from December 17 to 22, 2017. Accordingly five students studying in standard 9 of VPM’s Sau. A. K. Joshi English Medium School will participate in the event under the guidance of Dr. Vijay Bedekar, Chairman, VPM, Thane and Dr. Sudhakar Agarkar, Dean, AIER, Thane. A group of our student along with two teachers also participated in Belt and Road Science camp held alongside CASTIC at Chongqing. We are now looking forward to an event towards the end of 2019.
Industrial Visits to Singapore
Industrial Visit to Singapore arranged for the students of pursuing their PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management) at Dr. V. N. Bedekar Institute of Management Studies (BRIMS) in January 2017 was a great success. On the request of a new batch of PGDM students at BRIMS an industrial visit was planned in January 2018. A similar activity continues in February 2019. Contacts are being established with industries and institutions in Singapore to make the forthcoming tour fruitful.
Industrial Visit to Dubai
Industrial Visits to Dubai for the students of EPMBA (Executive Programme in Management Business and Administration) DRVNBRIMS, Thane was planned in the month of February 2018. Due to its great success it has been made an annual activity, the visit in February 2019 is being planned.
Educational tour to Japan
It is proposed to arrange an educational tour of Indian students, teachers and parents to Japan in the year 2019. This tour will provide a rare chance of academic interaction at Kyoto Sangyo University in Kyoto. It will also provide an opportunity to visit places of interests in Osaka, Kyoto and Nara. More …..
Unge Forsekere 2018
Like the previous years a team of students from VPM’s B. N. Bandodkar College of Science, Thane will participate in Unge Forsekere (Danish Yung Scientist fair) to be held in Copenhagen in April 2019. It is the contest for post school students where projects from Denmark and other countries are presented.
Educational Tour to UK
Arranging an educational tour to UK is an annual activity of AIER. The forthcoming tour is planned from May 21 to 31, 2019. This tour enables the participants to visit educational institutions, libraries and museums in Oxford, Cambridge and London. More….
