VPM has an institution devoted to providing management education. Industrial Visit is considered to be an important component of inputs given to these students. In this regard, tours were conducted for students pursuing their MMS (Masters in Management Studies) and PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management) courses at Dr. V. N. Bedekar Institute of Management Studies (BRIMS).
Singapore, one of the developed countries in Asia, has much to offer. In the recent past it has become an industrialized nation. Keeping these aspects into account an industrial visit was organized to Singapore for the students of Dr. V. N. Bedekar Institute of Management Studies, Thane in December 2014. This visit enabled the visiting students and faculty to witness how small country devoid of natural resources has achieved industrialization in a short period of time.
Encouraged by the positive experiences gained in the Industrial tour organised for MMS students it was decided to arrange a similar tour for students enrolled in other courses at BRIMS. Accordingly a weeklong tour of students pursuing PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management) course at BRIMS was conducted in January 2017. This tour had a good blend of academic interactions and industrial visits.
