A. Junior College

There will be one examination in each semester. Second semester examination portion will be second term syllabus + 20% of First semester. 25% marks are required out of 120/130 marks (only theory) for each subject for passing. However final percentage for each subject will be  calculated  based on the total of 200  marks including  both semesters, so that Grand Total is  of  700  Marks  ( Seven Subjects)
Re-examination: Candidate, who is not able to appear for the term end examination (theory & practical) due to illness or any other natural calamity, can submit an application along with medical certificate or necessary document for consideration of re-examination.

b) XIIth standard Final examination is conducted by HSC Board for total of 600 marks. Science subjects will have one paper per subject of 70 marks and practical of 30 marks while for Mathematics & Languages, theory of 80 marks and practical/oral of 20 marks. Bifocal subject Computer Science will have 100 marks theory and 100 marks practical.
For upgraded subjects –Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics, minimum 25% of marks in theory is required for passing.
Three examinations are conducted by college. First terminal examination at the end of first term and in the second term Preliminary examination according to Board pattern and Mock MT – CET /NEET according to CET pattern.
Attendance for every examination is compulsory.

B. Degree College

A) Internal assessment (only for FC/NSS/NCC & Self finance course)

B) External assessment (Semester End Examination) for each course of the programme. The Method of evaluation and Performance of the learner (student) will be displayed on notice board as soon as college/institution gets the directivwe from the university.College/Institution shall assess Semesters I/II (F,Y,B,Sc.) III/IV S.Y.B.Sc.) For Part A i.e.Internal Assessment,Question paper setting will be done by Institute/college,Part B i.e. Semester End Examination Question paper setting will be done by University. College shall issue the grade cards after converting the marks into grades. University shall conduct the assessment of part B i.e. Semester End Examination for Semester V and VI. While the part A i.e. Internal assessment, practical examination of semester V is conducted by the college/ institution as per the directives of the University them.Applied compoment practical examination of semester V and VI shall be conducted by college and the marks will be submitted to the University before the commencement of respective Semester End Examination.

3. Passing standard

The learner / Students has to obtain minimum 40% marks in Theory and Practicals and minimum E Grade for the Project.A student will be declared pass only if he / she passes the Internal Assessment and Semester End Examination together. Some subjects have internal assessment

TH-Theory,PR-Practical IA-Internal Assessments

i) A learner who passes in the Internal Examination but fails in the Semester End Examination of the Course shall reapper for the semester end examination (failure/ ATKT examination) of that course.However his / her marks of the internal examination shall be carried over and he/ she shall be entitled for grade obtained by him/ her on passing theory,practical and internal.

ii) A learner who passes in the Semester End Examination but fails in the Internal Assessment of the Course shall reappear for the Internal Examination of the Course.However his/ her marks of the Semester End Examination shall be carried over and he /she shall be entitled for grade obtained by him/ her on passing. Exam Pattern guidelines will be as per the rules & regulations by University of Mumbai.

Special Note : Those students appearing for A.T.K.T. Exams should fiull the prescribed format and pay the fees on the dates scheduled for same by the college.Grade card will be given only to the students.

4. ELIGIBILITY TO APPEAR FOR A.T.K.T. EXAMINATIONS :

A learner who fails in some or all the courses can appear for A.T.K.T. / Failure Examination which will be conducted by University every term.

5. Rules for ATKT

1) A learner shall be allowed to keep term for Semester II irrespective of number of head of Failure in Semester I

2) A learner shall be allowed to keep term for Semester III if

a) he/ she passes each of Semester I and Semester II.

OR

b) A learner who fails in not more than three courses in each of Semester I and II (for all subjects carrying 900 or more marks.)

3) A learner shall be allowed to keep term for semester IV irrespective of number of heads of failure in Semester III.

4) A learner shall be allowed to keep term for semester V if.

a) He/ she passes either Sem. I and II OR Sem. III and IV

AND

b) He/she fails in not more than 3 courses for all subjects carrying 900 or more marks or 2 courses for all subjects carrying less than 900 marks in each of Sem.III and IV and passes in Sem.I and II

OR

He/ she fails in not more than 3 courses in each of Sem.I and II and passes in Sem.III and IV.

WARNING:

i) Mobile are strictly prohibited in the examination hall both Junior as well as Degree College. College will not be responsible for the loss of mobile.

ii) Unfair means at Examinations : Students of degree college who are found adopting unfair means at the examinations, will be dealt with as per the University Rules, MU Act 1994 and the provissions of Act No. XXXI/ 1982 as the case may be
